Stanza is a free iPhone apps that enables you to read electronic books in your iPhone. It has an excellent value, although it uses a straight approach with less ability to handle DRM protected content and documents which have heavy pictures or format.
Stanza provides customized experience to read book comfortably, and you can quickly change text sizes (with slider in the preference setting or using pinch and reverse pinch), adjust line and margin spacing, and choose one from various fonts. You can even choose your own text and background color, if you want the old way, CRT style green on black. You flip chapters, rotate it on portrait or landscape and searching through texts. Stanza also allows you to leave bookmarks and always remember the last page or chapter where you last left.
It can handle various non-DRM formats (including Amazon Kindle, Mobipocket, Microsoft LIT, Palm Doc, and many more), but PDF and HTML don’t always work as you want, because their stips sometime look out image and formatting. For overall, it is an easy to use and useful app for whoever who already have various DRM eBook collections, as Stanza eases you to download one ton of public domain ebook contents from its online catalog section (all from Walt Whitman, Edith Wharton, and George Orwell to Kurt Vonnegut, Cory Doctorow, and HP Lovecraft).
